Location:National Civil Rights Museum map
Description:The Museum is partnering with Indie Memphis to offer a powerful lineup of eleven short films by Memphis filmmakers evoking themes of the MLK50 commemoration. In the spirit of Dr. King’s work in his final years, the shorts will address racism, abuse and injustices in five- to fourteen-minute films.
A reception with the filmmakers will precede the screening at 6:00pm with a panel discussion following the screenings. Some shorts contain adult language. Viewer discretion is advised.
The event is free and open to the public. Registration is highly encouraged.
